This Personality Test Will Reveal If You Are A Cognitive Personality

CPs are perceived as being less warm than others. Their strength lies in their ability to think rationally, create options and solve problems. They are more comfortable with their cognitive domain than their emotional domain. This certainly does not mean they are robots. They may care very deeply for the few individuals to whom they feel close. CPs are frequently our scientists, mathematicians, philosophers, researchers and college professors. The dark side would include Professor Moriarty (Sherlock Holmes’s nemesis) and successful psychopaths. As I am sure you know, Sherlock Holmes was also a CP.

No doubt, you have heard of the stereotypical absent-minded professor … they exist. CPs often belong to that preoccupied, intelligent and vague group of people. They are focused on their work and may not remember non essentials (such as birthdays, where they live and anniversaries). If their significant other is an Emotive Personality, the CP may be in for many nights on the sofa until her “important occasion” memory improves.

“Thinking is the most unhealthy thing in the world, and people die of it just as they die of any other disease. Fortunately, in England at any rate, thought is not catching. Our splendid physique as a people is entirely due to our national stupidity.” OscarWilde
